Face Yoga for a double-chin appearance

A double-chin appearance can come from body fat, genetics, posture, or loose muscle in the neck. Face Yoga and neck exercise may improve the muscular part and the way the area is held. They will not outrun overall weight if that is the main cause — and Mallika will not put someone on an unsafe crash diet to chase a camera angle. Combine realistic weight management with regular neck and Face Yoga, not one or the other.

Mallika's fitness teaching and her Face Yoga teaching meet here. She will not agree to take 10 kg off someone in a month so a wedding photograph looks sharper. A slower, safer loss plus neck and facial work is the combination she will actually supervise.

Questions students actually ask

If I lose weight, will the double chin go?

Sometimes yes, sometimes the skin and muscle still need work. Mallika noticed the opposite problem too: after weight loss the body looked better while the face looked more tired — which is why Face Yoga sits beside fitness, not after it.
